What did you put on first thing this morning?
Compassion or Harshness?
Meanness or Kindness?
Humility or Pride?
Sternness or Gentleness?
Patience or Impatience?
Vengeance or Forgiveness?
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone.
Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Colossians 3:12-14 NIV
We have so many choices in our Virtue-Closet.
Many days, we grab what we wear based on our “feelings.” Yet… have you found your feelings can cloud your judgment?
Some days, we grab what others say we should be wearing. ” You deserve better!” “Don’t let her get away with that!” “If it was me, I’d…!”
Then come the days, we could care less about what we wear… Whatever is handy will work. But, does it really?
What if? What if, you prepared your garments the night before?
Decide, before you retire for the night, “Tomorrow I will choose LOVE. I will refuse to let disappointment or frustration cloud my attitude. God loves me! He has chosen me! I will love others with no agenda. I will choose to forgive. I will choose to be kind and gentle with my words. I will choose to respond and not react. Tomorrow I will lean into the LORD and heed the voice of the Holy Spirit.”
You may not walk out the door in the perfect outfit, but being intentional, being prepared, and being proactive, improves your success ratio.
So, ask yourself, “What will I wear today?”
Hugs in Him my friend!
What Season of Blessing Are You In?
What season of “blessing” are you in?
Are you poor in spirit?
Are you mourning?
Are you meek?
Are you hungering and thirsting for righteousness?
Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. Matthew 5:3-6 NKJV
Truly, the LORD blesses all who seek Him and His Way.
Consider… What would your life be like if you were not under His blessing?
Consider the Little Actions of God!
Have you considered, all GOD has done for you?
My mind is flooding with the momentous actions of God in my life… such as:
-The two grand babies born to my daughter, when she was told she had less than 1% chance of conceiving.
-A child born with a disabling malady, which God removed to allow him freedom to walk.
-Restoration of relationships… to name a few.
…there are so many big God-actions, that at times, the day-to-day actions are not given proper due.
Food, a roof over my head, warmth, rain, sunshine, speech, sight, hearing… oh, the list is endless.
And then… the ULTIMATE action—God made His Son, Jesus Christ, who was perfect, to be sin my place. So that I might be righteous through Him.
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21 NIV
O GOD, help me never to forget ALL You have done, just for me. May I always, make You personal in my life. May every action in my day reflect who You are to me, on an intimate level. Praise You, Abba! Amen
Thank you for stopping by, my friend, let me know how your God actions list turns out! Hugs in Him… Linda
